Professor de Engenharia de Software da FEELT-UFU. He received his B.E. degree in 1992, his M.Sc. degree in 2002 from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Federal University of Uberlandia. He won a research scholarship from the Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho) in April 2002. He got his Ph.D. degree from the laboratory on Theory of Symbiotic Systems, Department of Systems Science, Graduate School of Informatics, Kyoto University. His current research is focused on neurocomputing, human-machine interfaces, image processing, computer vision, and pattern recognition.
